About Brian McWhorter
Brian McWhorter, D.O., is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with extensive experience and training in reconstructive surgery and joint replacements. He is experienced in treating various sports injuries, as well as, arthritic conditions of the shoulder, including reverse shoulder replacements. Dr. McWhorter focuses on soft tissue preservation and returning his patients to an active lifestyle. He does this by using the latest technologies and micro-invasive procedures to produce less pain, shorter hospital stays and a quicker recovery. In addition, Dr. McWhorter is skilled at performing the robotically assisted MAKO Partial Knee Resurfacing and Total Knee procedure as well as the MAKO Total Hip procedure. Dr. McWhorter received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Ut. and his medical degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz. He performed his general orthopaedic residency and internship at Pinnacle Health Hospital in Harrisburg, Pa. and an additional year of specialty training in joint reconstructive surgery in Phoenix, Ariz., under the world renowned Dr. Anthony Hedley. Dr. McWhorter maintains memberships in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the American Osteopathic Associates and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association.
