About Raul Lopez-Gonzalez
Board certified by the American Board of Surgery, Raul Lopez, M.D., is a general surgeon who provides a wide variety of surgical services, including endoscopies, gallbladder removals, hernia repairs, peritoneal dialysis catheters and port placements for chemotherapy patients. In addition to extensive surgical experience, Dr. Lopez has served in several hospital administrative roles, including medical director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and assistant director of the residency programs at Forum Health in Ohio. Dr. Lopez also served as the assistant director of Surgical Education and co-director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the Youngstown Hospital Association in Ohio. After completing pre-medical studies at the University of Puerto Rico, Dr. Lopez received his medical degree from the Universidad Central Del Este in the Dominican Republic. He completed his general surgery residency and cancer fellowship training at the Youngstown Hospital Association. Dr. Lopez continues to take courses and participate in educational programs within his field. In addition, he has clinical teaching experience, which has earned him numerous teaching awards. Dr. Lopez is licensed to practice in Arizona, Ohio, Kentucky, and is fluent in English and Spanish.
