About Rosemary Buckle
Dr. Rosemary Buckle is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in knee and hip joint replacement surgery, treatment of adult and pediatric fractures, and treatment of sports injuries. As a native Houstonian and a competitive athlete, Dr. Buckle can relate with her patients in a way that brings her advanced medical knowledge to life. Sports Medicine for Houston Dr. Buckle treats her sports medicine and orthopedic patients with an eye for long-term health. With her approach, athletes can get back to training and their goals in a timely fashion without jeopardizing their career or passion. As Dr. Buckle works with her patients to treat sports injuries, she also shares information that can help prevent future injuries. An athlete herself, Dr. Buckle can relate to her sports medicine patients. As an undergraduate, she was a member of the track team at Notre Dame. During her final two years she served on the Notre Dame Sports Medicine Staff, working with the varsity football, basketball, and track teams. Today, her competitive spirit and drive is still alive and well. Dr. Buckle is a recent Ironman Triathlete (2011, 2012). She is the author of numerous publications on fractures and orthopedic trauma, and has shared her clinical research with the larger medical community at several national meetings. Dr. Buckle specializes in fractures and other orthopedic trauma. She also has a special gift for treating children with these injuries. With two decades of orthopedic surgery experience, Dr. Buckle has performed numerous surgeries using a wide range of technologies. These days, Dr. Buckle focuses on total knee and hip joint replacement surgery, using minimally invasive Stryker surgical technologies. Dr. Buckle uses the latest Stryker implants available, including ceramic bearing surfaces. She also serves on the production, design, and educational team for a line of Stryker reconstruction, fracture, and trauma instrumentation. Her patients have the benefit of receiving treatment from a surgeon who truly understands her tools.
