Dr. Winston E. Watkins, Jr. is a board-certified physician with extensive training and experience in internal medicine. A Houston native, Dr. Watkins received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He later completed his residency training in internal medicine at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin. With more than 20 years of practice experience, Dr. Watkins is a well-rounded physician who has provided healthcare to patients in numerous settings, including the Harris County Hospital District, Baylor College of Medicine and private practice. Currently, he serves as a clinical assistant professor of internal medicine for the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Watkins also works with the physician assistant program at the Baylor College of Medicine. He is a member of the board of directors for the St. Joseph Medical Center and maintains memberships in the Harris County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Watkins is currently accepting new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
